This paper aims to provide a scientometric review of imbibition studies in unconventional reservoirs from 2010 to 2021. Remarkable progress has been made in the imbibition research of oil and gas, and the overall research situation of research needs to be analyzed more systematically. Spontaneous imbibition is a phenomenon of fluid displacement under the action of capillary force, which is of great significance to reservoir protection, enhanced oil recovery, flow-back optimization, and fracturing fluid selection in unconventional oil and gas reservoirs.
